Annual
Support
...................................................................................................................
Gifts from AOTA
members and other individuals provide the backbone of support
to AOTF. Each year, over 3,000 of your friends and colleagues
help AOTF respond to the growing and changing needs of the
occupational therapy community.
The Foundation
only exists through your generosity and commitment. We need
your help to continue providing high-quality services and
programs. Please consider your tax-deductible gift today an
investment in the future of occupational therapy.
By
making a gift to the Foundation today, you will help fund
AOTF's newest initiative, The Institute
for the Study of Occupation and Health, supports graduate
education and research, and promotes broad understanding of
the impact of occupation on the health of individuals, families
and communities. The Institute will serve as the Foundation's
umbrella for existing programs, including:
The
Center for Outcomes Research and
Education (CORE) in Chicago, developing outcomes studies
and generating evidence upon which to base effective practice.
Resources
for faculty, including workshops on curriculum revision
and a monograph, Research Across the Curriculum: A Guide
for Occupational Therapy Educators.
The
Task Force on Occupation in Societal
Crises, created to link the occupational therapy perspective
with societal networks that help people manage stress and
create a health balance through meaningful occupation.
The
Wilma L. West Library, the national repository for the
profession's literature and informational resources.
Scholarships
and Dissertation Research Grants.
OJTR:
Occupation, Participation and Health, a refereed scientific
journal.
