Planned
Giving
...................................................................................................................
A planned
gift is a unique type of gift, which does not involve the
direct and immediate transfer of cash from the donor to AOTF.
Instead, donors utilize special giving vehicles, which delay
the transfer of the cash gift and provide extra benefits not
normally associated with traditional giving. These benefits
usually involve a lifetime income and/or significant tax reductions
for you and your heirs. AOTF offers donors the opportunity
to participate in four planned giving programs:
Gifts
through your will (bequests)
The
Pooled Income Fund
Gifts
of life insurance
Charitable
Remainder Trusts
As a planned giving
donor to AOTF, you will automatically be entitled to membership
in the Legacy Circle. Established in 1993, the Legacy
Circle recognizes and thanks those individuals who have supported
AOTF through planned giving. Members are thanked periodically
in AOTF publications, receive a certificate of membership,
and have their name engraved on a special plaque of recognition
in AOTF's national headquarters. Currently, there are
57 members of the Legacy Circle.
The
American Occupational Therapy Foundation is a 501(c)(3), charitable,
non-profit organization. Gifts to AOTF are tax-deductible
to the extent allowed by law.
